Thanks for your sweet comments on my son Sean. I'm always touched when his story touches someone else. Your friend is lucky to have you. And thanks for stopping by my nonsense blog.
Peace,

What's interesting is that I personally know of 5 different people who visited Colombia and all 5 loved it and wanted to go back soon. So you are not alone...

If you want to re-live Colombia, you should try to find the episode of Anthony Bourdain when he visits different places in Colombia. I have it on tape and it is awesome. :)

Wow... what unbelievable timing. That happened with my first sponsored child, Maikol, after I'd sponsored him for about 5 years. I still think of him & wonder how he is. You will soon bless another child's life, and I am sure little Stephany will never forget you!

Just wanted to let you know that in an ironic/cruel? turn of events, Compassion contacted me yesterday to tell me that Stephany and her family are moving out of Compassion's sponsorship area... so I will have to find a new child.. :(

I loved following your trip... hopefully you had a safe journey home. I'm sure the memories and things you experienced will last a lifetime. :)

Greg, if that is your child, that is so amazing! If that is your child, I can tell you that I hugged her and that she has a great big smile. What a small world...it's been made so much smaller and closer together for me this week. Thank you for 'following' us on this trip. I am so sad it's our last day today!

The LDP students are just so inspiring and I'm sure they have quite a positive impact on their communities. They really have a big responsibility to be leaders by setting a good example for the children.

By the way, I visited Keely's blog. In the "Sweet Faces of Colombia" post, the girl with the multi-colored shirt (who is hugging the girl in the blue jacket) looks very much like my sponsored child. I only have one picture of her, and she's either nervous/emotionless, so it's really hard to be sure, but wow it's almost an exact match.
